The house sits on the sand line of Bang Por, on the quiet north shore of Koh Samui, where the water is flat in the morning and the village behind keeps its own slow pace.
The villa comprises two bedrooms and two bathrooms for six guests, with one open floor holding the living area, the open kitchen and the table, and the whole seaward side standing wide to the terrace and the pool.
A cook comes with the house: breakfast at whatever hour the family wakes, daily housekeeping, and cars from the airport when the flights land.
The rate is $300 per day. Small houses actually standing on the sand are the rarest part of the Samui rental list, and Bang Por keeps a handful of them.
The living side slides to the terrace
The house works as one room in the day: the kitchen, the table and the lounge, with the whole beach side standing wide. Six people fit here without sitting on top of one another.
Sand at the end of the lawn
The pool sits between the house and the sand, with the garden closing the plot on the road side. Children stay in sight from the terrace, and that settles the choice for families.
