The villa was built in 2021 in the hills above Chaweng Noi, on the east coast of Koh Samui: the beach and the restaurants are below, and up here the nights are cooler and the coast finally goes quiet.
A party settles in easily: four bedrooms, four bathrooms, eleven beds. The centre of the house is one open room where the kitchen, the long table and the deep sofas sit together, and the evening spreads out from there — a film in the cinema room, billiards, dinner on the grill by the pool. The chef cooks on the nights nobody feels like driving, breakfast is made to order, and housekeeping comes daily.
The beach below is a few minutes by car, and Chaweng's restaurants are a little further along the same road. In the morning these bedrooms are among the first on the island to see the sunrise — it comes up straight out of the gulf.
The villa rents from $725 per day. Its best hour is the evening, when the light slips behind the hills, the gulf darkens, and nobody on the terrace is in a hurry to leave.
Dinner cooked in the house
The chef takes over the kitchen for the evening, breakfast arrives at the table in the morning, and the staff keep the house running out of sight.
Cinema room and billiard table
When the light goes the house has somewhere to go: a cinema below, a billiard table, and a hot tub on the deck for the last hour.
